Most Rice Krispie treats are dry and hard, but these are soft, buttery, and delicious! Give these a try and you will wonder why these special little bars are not more popular!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup grass-fed butter

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp salt

1 10oz bag of marshmallows

8 cups puffed rice cereal

Directions:

  1. Add your butter to a stock pot on medium high heat. Once it’s completely melted, continue to cook for about 5 more minutes until the butter started to have little brown flecks in it. You must continuously stir the whole time or it will burn.

  2. To the brown butter, add your salt and vanilla

  3. Turn the heat off and add in your marshmallows. Stir for about a minute until all the marshmallows are coated in butter

  4. Add your cereal and stir until fully combined.

  5. To a parchment lined 9x13 dish, dump your mixture.

  6. Take another piece of parchment and place on top so you can pack the Rice Krispies in there as much as possible.

  7. Cool for about 10-15 min in the fridge

  8. Enjoy!

This dessert is perfect for the summer since it comes together so fast and you don’t have to heat the house up with a hot oven. I hope you try this out!
